2 Months

So keeping up a blog is hard, especially when you're a very boring person as I am and don't do much all day except watch movies and TV. And since you probably don't want to hear about that, I guess I will tell you what is new with my new little one.  Meagan is officially two months old today, I know way crazy right? I can't wait for the next few months they are going to be so awesome, it is sad that I want her to grow up fast?  I just think that older babies/toddlers are so much more fun.  She is finally starting to gain weight pretty good, I swear I feed her a ton... really, but it just seemed like she wasn't growing very fast.  Her thighs are so fat and roll-y now I think we'll be switching to size 2 diapers soon, the 1's are just getting too tight.  Yep she inherited her mother's fat thighs, how sad for her  :)  Her 0-3 clothes fit pretty comfortably now, there are a few things that are still a little big, but overall most fit her well.  Her feet must be smaller than normal because 0-3 shoes are still huge on her, and I only have one pair of newborn boots, so she wears those a lot.

She has been sleeping very well at night (fingers crossed it stays that way) but doesn't really sleep during the day, she'll take little naps here and there.  And she doesn't like to lay down for very long, so it is quite the adventure trying to get 'house' stuff done.  Luckily she really likes being in the front baby carrier, but I can only do that for so long, that thing kills your shoulders after a couple hours.  She is super alert during the day and is now started to "play" with you it is really cute.  I don't think she has quite figured out yet that she can make noises other than crying, but on the plus side she has figured out that she can be awake without crying, so yay for that! It took her a little while to start smiling and even after she did, she wouldn't smile too often.  But now she smiles more and we can make her smile, by acting like idiots of course :)  Seriously, I was recording a smiling session with her the other day and when I played it back I realized that I need to cut out the sound because I sounded like a lunatic!  But hey, whatever makes the baby happy I guess.

The other day I was driving down to my Mom's with her and I was singing (I sing because it's such a long drive and it seems to help 'distract' her, until she falls asleep)  after a minute or so she started making cooing sounds, loud and drawn out.  It was really funny, it sounded like she was trying to sing with me.  She is getting so cute and does funny things, we tease her alot, poor kid.  Oh well, I guess she'll just have to get used to it.

Although I wouldn't say having a baby is easy, I kind of don't know why we put it off for so long, I think we would have been able to do this a couple years ago, things have easily fallen into place and it seems so completely natural now. I love it so much, and I love it more now that she will respond to me instead of just zonking into space with crossed eyes like she would before (I admit it, the thought had crossed my mind that there might be something wrong with her during that phase, it is very strange that it is totally normal) though she still doesn't really look at Grandma Janet, she always stares off at the wall instead, she has a thing for walls lol.  I love that eveyday I come home from work she gives me the biggest smile when she sees me, it kinda melts your heart.  So anyway here are some new pics.
Sorta Smile
All bundled up to go for a walk, but by the time we got ready the wind was blowing too much :(
This is the face that we get most of the time, grumpy face.
Love this pic!
And here's the 2 month photo with a big Meagan grin.
