... and I still don't have a kitchen. This is going to be just a quick short post, we've been sooo busy, I feel bad that we completely missed Salem Days this past weekend, but after endlessly working for 12+ hours a day for 3 days we are still only 1/2 way done with the floor :( So I guess it's one more week on the floor, at least this will give Kameron time to finish up the drywall and me time to repaint. I have decided that there are certain things you shouldn't do pregnant and kitchen remodels are one of them. I am sooooooooooo sore and tired and I'm not sure if my knees will ever be the same, I think they are perma-bruised. And I feel bad that Kameron is doing so much of it, I might be slowly killing him with this. I'm trying to help where I can, by carrying in a limited # of tiles and helping with the backerboard. Unfortunately we found a nice surprise under the cabinets so we had to rip up the subfloor and replace that, just peachy! So he was pretty beat up as well. Yesterday Kameron and I only got out of bed to eat, it was nice to not have to do anything. Although we still have loads to get done this week. I have decided that I am never laying another piece of backerboard again, that has to be the worst job EVER! I have a new found respect for tile layers, no wonder why they charge so much, I would too. I hate when we do house projects and it seems like every room is completely filthy. And especially this one because we had to cram everything from the kitchen and family room into the living room and other bedrooms. Our office looks like a grocery store with the pantry food all over it. But the payoff will be great I am sure, I just have to stick it out and hope that we don't have any other major setbacks, not much else going on just trying to get the mess under control.
