The Basement Progress

Well we have been working on the framing since October, but we've had things (and just being pure lazy) come up.  But we are officially done with the framing, insulating, wiring, ductwork etc.  So now we can start sheetrocking.  Poor Kameron, he has had to do most of this all himself, while I watched Meagan upstairs.  So this last weekend and over the 4th, I brought Meagan downstairs to help him hang the sheetrock.  He cut the pieces and I screwed them in, and before you freak out, we rented a lift, because a) I know I'm pregnant and I'm that stupid and b) there is no way Kameron would have let me help otherwise.  He ended up screwing a lot of them as well, because well I'm a lot slower than he is.   But once we got to doing the walls, I could screw it in one handed, my Dad would be so proud :)
Meagan did very well, 'helping' us.  She usually just wrote on the walls with pencil and stacked paint cans.  But at least she kept herself entertained while we worked.
We've only got about 1/3 done so far, but we still have a ways to go before the baby gets here so I'm not too worried about it.
Meagan was such a helper getting us screws when we needed them.  When Kameron tried to use the drill to unscrew a plug, she grabbed some screws and ran over to him saying "Peese, peese" because he didn't have any :)
Then she would dump them out on the floor, because let's face it she is 1 1/2.
